Indians vs. Orioles Game 3

Here are some photos from our game against the Orioles last week. I can't believe our season is coming to a close. It's been a great season.

Indians vs. Pirates Game 2

Here are some photos of our game against the Pirates. The music is Symphony No. 40 in G Minor by Mozart. He created it in 1788. Some say it was never performed in his lifetime, yet it has become one of the most famous music pieces in history. Some of you might recognize the music. Enjoy!

Monday Night Baseball

We play the Orioles on Monday at 5. What a busy weekend. The carnival on Saturday was great fun. I have lots of pictures from our picture day. I will post them later. Did everyone get to meet Al Downing? Found out some interesting things about him, in addition to his giving up Hank Aaron's historic 715th home run in 1974. That home run broke broke Babe Ruth's record. No asterisk needed for that one. Downing was also an all star with the Yankees in 1967 and the National League Comeback Player of the Year in 1970 with the Milwaukee Brewers. He was on the Dodgers from 1971 to 1977 and was on the World Series team in 1974 that lost to the A's. Anyway, enough Al Downing trivia. Focus on the Orioles and let's go Indians!

Indians vs. Cardinals Game 2

Here are some photos from our second game against the Cardinals on Saturday. Such a great game. This slide show in done to the music of the London Philharmonic Orchestra performing The Tales of Hoffmann: Barcarolle. It is a French opera first produced and performed in 1881. Enjoy!

Indians vs. Orioles, Game 2

Our second game against the Orioles was so exciting. Seeing our Indians hit live pitching is great. They are doing so well with it. I did a little something different with the slide show. I put together a little movie with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra playing Jupiter, the Bringer of Jollity. I'm not even sure if jollity is a word, but it passes spell check. Plus it's a great word to describe 5 and 6 year olds playing baseball.
Here's the link on Facebook.

Indians vs. Cardinals

It looked like our players had a great time against the Cardinals. It also looked really cold. We have played every team one time now. We get the Pirates on Saturday. Let's hope it's a little warmer this weekend.

Indians vs. Cardinals pregame report

The Indians are playing the Cardinals on Saturday. We have the 3 p.m. game. Hope it's not too hot! Unfortunately, I won't be able to be at the game. I am working for ESPN this weekend covering the high school state basketball playoffs in Ontario. Yes, I have the glamorous life of a sportswriter. Since I won't be at the game, maybe some other parents can take some photos and post them on our website. I would love to see some of the shots other parents get. Good luck this weekend and have fun. Go Indians!

Game 2: Indians vs. Orioles

What a great game today. The Orioles were an awesome team. Our Indians played well too. They made some incredible plays in the field and had some great at-bats. I am looking forward to more exciting games. I will post more photos in a slide show. If you ever want any copies of the photos, e-mail me or message me and I can send them. I plan on making a DVD for everyone at the end of the season. We play the Cardinals next week at 3 p.m. We'll see you again on Tuesday for practice.

Opening Day

The Indians played the Pirates on Opening Day, March 5, 2011, at Canyon Country Little League. The Indians made several amazing plays on defense. A couple of the Indians hitters hit the ball all the way to the outfield fence. It was so much fun seeing the kids playing and have a good time on the field. Here's to more exciting games.
